Hi
Thanks for the lovely encouragement for my beginning. I'm back here today with more..
Ok, first things first, my baby's name is Kartik & we call him Kanha/ Kanhu wid love. Not that I always wanted my son's name to be Kartik or any such notion but yes, with mutual consent of the family it has been kept. All recent moms and dads, or to-be-moms and dads would relate to it that finalizing your baby's name is a helluva task; someone wants a Name of the Gods, someone would want a fresh, crazy & stylish name and the other would say a 'No, not this' on any name you suggest! So, while reading this, if any of you reckon that 'Kartik' is such an old and common name, be it :P
Yup, the other day I mentioned how difficult life becomes for a new Mommy, who had an extremely different lifestyle before and now she has to watch everything she does.
To begin with, when a girl conceives, she has to watch every single step of hers. What she's eating, how she's walking, sitting, sleeping, talking, thinking, watching..aah.. every damn thing is under restriction and jurisdiction. Things are still ok until the baby bump shows coz post that, you feel that you are in the Bigg Boss house where countless cameras are watching you and any person can comment over any activity you do. And there are so many advices all through the pregnancy that you don't really understand what to do! There's so much already changing inside and outside you that the mood swings are at their peak. Leave the rest, you have no idea how you're going to react at situations best known to you.
The only respite is the movement of the little life inside you. Splendid it feels when it kicks or struggles to move. And the best maneuver I experienced was his heartbeats. I was awestruck whenever I felt those heartbeats. I was so proud to be a female and thanked God for every bit of it.
Well, there are various emotions you feel throughout the pregnancy period. I had this teary-eyes syndrome for quite some time. I yelled at people around me & kept crying for a lot of reasons, which were actually no reasons at all. At that time, you just need to be pampered with humungous amount of love and care & I had that, with God's grace.
So any of you, if facing such crankiness, ill-mannerism or exasperation from the mums-to-be, the word is Pampering! And the mums-to-be should remember that your closed ones have a life beyond your pregnancy so give them some time for themselves as well.
Also her family has to remember the dos & don't s for the Mum-to-be, which you'll find on your favorite 'Google'; the regular doctor visits; the timely medicines and not to be worried for every other thing & just stay calm. The key is her happiness!
What I would say is- All that glitters should be gold for her & she ought to be treated as one of those glitterati! If you keep this in mind and the mum-to-be around you is happy, all of you, along with her will have a wonderful pregnancy period!
Will catch you with more in my next.. Don't forget to share your thoughts on this..
